Seventy is Paul Kelly's latest collection of stories set to music. The album captures the ancient human tradition of gathering to share tales and "keep the darkness away," opening and closing with the simple plea "Tell us a story..." Songs range from intimate portraits of friendship and desire to quiet moments of wonder.

At 70, Kelly takes stock while remaining "in the middle of it," showcasing all facets of his songwriting mastery. Highlights include "Rita Wrote A Letter," which revisits the world of "How to Make Gravy" nearly 30 years later, and a stunning band arrangement of W.B. Yeats' "Sailing to Byzantium." Supported by his longtime band, Seventy reaffirms why we need stories most when the world feels uncertain - a deeply human album from Australia's master storyteller.
